Attendance Sheet

Mark staff attendance day by day and get the monthly register with paid days as a PDF.

Staff

The staff list and attendance are shared by the Attendance sheet and the Salary sheet on this device.

No staff yet. Add the people who work for you.

    Mark attendance

Pick a day and tap each person's status. Tap it again to clear.

      Monthly register

Tap a box to change it: present → absent → half day → leave → weekly off → blank.

      Your data

Everything is saved only in this browser on this device and is never sent to a server, so nobody else can see it. It will be lost if you clear your browser data or change phones, so download a backup regularly.

How to use the attendance sheet

      1. Add your staff: name, and optionally mobile number and work.
      2. Every day, open "Mark attendance" and tap each person's status: present, absent, half day, paid leave or weekly off. "Mark everyone present" does it in one tap, and you then change only the exceptions.
      3. Mark the weekly offs for the whole month at once: choose the weekly-off day (for example Sunday) and press "Mark weekly offs for the month".
      4. Check the monthly register: one row per person, one box per day, with the totals and paid days at the end. Tap any box to change it.
      5. Download the register as a PDF at the end of the month, or export it to Excel.
      6. Work out salaries: the salary sheet uses the same staff list and takes each person's paid days from this register.

      What the marks mean

Mark Meaning Counted as paid day
      P Present 1 day
      A Absent No
      H Half day ½ day
      L Paid leave 1 day
W Weekly off or holiday 1 day for monthly staff

Paid days = present + paid leave + weekly offs + half days ÷ 2

      Example

In September (30 days), Asha was present on 22 days, took 2 half days and 1 day of paid leave, had 4 Sundays off and was absent on 1 day:

      • Paid days: 22 + 1 + 4 + (2 ÷ 2) = 28 paid days out of 30
      • The absent day and the unpaid halves of the two half days are not paid.

      On a monthly salary of ₹12,000 divided by the 30 days of the month, that is ₹12,000 × 28 ÷ 30 = ₹11,200.

      Why keep an attendance register

      • Correct salary: paid days come straight from the register, so there are no arguments at the end of the month.
      • Labour law: shops and establishments are expected to keep attendance and wage records and show them to an inspector if asked.
      • Leave and overtime: you can see at a glance who is often absent and who worked extra.

Keep the PDF of every month, and download a backup of your data regularly.

      Frequently asked questions

Can I mark attendance for a past date?

Yes. Choose any date in "Mark attendance", or tap the boxes in the monthly register.

What is the difference between leave and absent?

"Paid leave" (L) is leave you pay for, so it counts as a paid day. "Absent" (A) is not paid. If a leave is unpaid, mark it as absent.

Can two people mark attendance on different phones?

No. The data is kept only on the phone where it is entered. Use one phone for attendance, or send a backup file to the other phone and restore it there.

Is my staff data uploaded anywhere?

No. Names and attendance stay in this browser on this device. Download a backup regularly so nothing is lost if you change phones.

Does it work for daily-wage workers?

Yes. Mark their attendance the same way. In the salary sheet, daily-wage workers are paid for present days, half days and paid leave, not for weekly offs.
